Participation of Students of Dept. of Law and Human Rights of UAP in Debate Competition

 

It is a matter of pride that, Law and Human Rights Debating Club of Department of Law and Human Rights of University of Asia Pacific participated in the Second Round of 21st National Television Debate Competition, 2013 organized by Bangladesh Television. It was held on 25th May, 2013. The topic for the debate was selected as "Not resources, able humans are rather needed for the development of the country " The debaters of Law and Human Rights Debating Club raised their arguments in the said debate against Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal. Three students of the department namely, Senjuti Ghosh (Registration No. 12209011), Nusrat Jahan (Registration No. 09211048) and Md. Iftakharul Islam Apu (Registration No.11211018) participated in the said debate, meanwhile Fariha Sultana (Registration No. 10111009) was the standing member of the team. The team was headed by Sazzad-Ul-Islam, Lecturer and Moderator of Law and Human Rights Debating Club, UAP and Md. Saleh Akram, Lecturer and Co-moderator of Law and Human Rights Debating Club, UAP. It should be noted that prior to the participation the Law and Human Rights Debating Club successfully participated in the 20th National Television Debate Competition.
